The dataset consists of National Forest Inventory Information System information about barrel network in Lithuania from 1998 to the present day. The object of the set is one barrel. The table indicates its measurement date, five-year cycle, status, and the coordinates of the barrel centers, "noised" for confidentiality purposes.

A plot is a forest accounting unit covering an area of approximately 16 sq. km, or 400 ha. During the forest inventory, the most important indicators of stand productivity are determined in the plot. These data allow assessing the condition of Lithuanian forests and their change indicators at the level of the country, administrative units or their combinations (counties, districts). 16,349 permanent observation plots have been identified in the territory of the Republic of Lithuania, which are updated every five years. The Forest Service conducts observations in one fifth of the plots every year. The data in the set cover all Lithuanian forest land, regardless of the form of ownership.
